Lizz & Crystal [[Always]]

I love seeing a proposal take place. It’s magic. You know... like when you’re walking along a beach and you catch someone getting down on one knee- you don’t even know them but your heart still skips a beat and you feel happy tears welling up. That is what happened on our Spring Break Florida adventure this year; except the person getting down on one knee and the person shrieking for joy in excitement were two of my best friends.

Lizz and Crystal are two of the most joyous women I have ever met. I have no doubt that they were put on this planet for each other. They are two of the most kind, adventurous, and loyal friends I could have ever asked for in this World.

Sometime in the middle of the heartless Cleveland winter, my college roommate Rachel called me to tell me she had just talked to Crystal and that CRYSTAL WAS PLANNING ON PROPOSING IN APRIL. The phone call went something like this:

Rachel: “I saw Crystal last night and she told me that she is proposing to Lizz over Spring Break in Florida” Both of Us: (screaming...OMG OMG...happy tears...YAY)

Rachel: “Soooo like she asked if we wanted to go down and be there for it” Me: “I guess we are going to Florida, let me know what flights you find.”

And just like that, over Easter vacation Rachel and I were on a plane to Orlando for one of the best surprises we could ever be a part of.

Meanwhile, Lizz was vacationing with her coworkers, and had no idea that Crystal, Rachel, me, or her sister were all flocking down south to be with her.

After meeting up with Crystal and Lizz’s sister (Sarah) in Clearwater Beach, and after a ton of mishaps that only need to be known by the few of us that were there;), we were all set on Clearwater Beach for the big moment.

After several miscommunications, secretive phone calls, and asking people to leave the beach area because a proposal was about to take place IT FINALLY HAPPENED. AND IT WAS FREAKING GORGEOUS.

Minutes later, after the biggest surprise of her life, Lizz was in for more and more surprises as we all started coming out from under the pier. It was fun and it was beautiful and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
